Runnin' From The Cops

This Story Comes From A Dreamer Like You...
I started out my dream by being chased by the police Through a building. I have no idea what I have done to merit a chase but it is on. I'm running up the flights of stairs and I get to the top and jump into the door at the top of the stairs and it pops open to the wide tar cover roof. I look around and there is no where else to go but across to the next building. I'm running as fast as I can and make the jump to the next roof top which is a ten foot gap. I stumble on the landing and look back to see the police right on my tail; so I turn and keep running. Jumping from building to building the buildings are getting smaller. I'm running along the edge of a two story building and I can see to my right that there is a train yard with train tracks right next to the building. There is a train coming and its coming fast. I keep running and I think I can make to the top of the rushing train. I'm running out of time and the rushing train will soon pass. In the bottom right of my view I can see a radar with me as a white dot and a cluster of red dots closing in on me. The train passes and I jump down into and alleyway that is a labyrinth of passage ways. I'm still running as fast as I can changing direction constantly in the alleyways. I feel as though I have been running forever; the alley then begins to shrink getting more narrow with every step I take. I feel as though I'm going to get stuck in between the walls. As I'm squeezing my way through the tightest point in the alley I break out into an opening and I wake up.

Interpretations From: http://www.dreammoods.com/
Police
To see the police in your dream symbolizes structure, rules, power, authority and control. You need to put an end to your reckless behavior or else the law will catch up to you. Alternatively, the dream refers to failure in honoring your obligation and commitments. Dreaming that you are running from the police means that you are refusing to face the consequences of your actions. It also indicates that you are rejecting certain rules
Train
To see a train in your dream represents conformity. You are just going along with what everyone else is doing. Alternatively, a train means that you are very methodical. You need to lay things out specifically and do things in an orderly and sequential manner. In particular, if you see a freight train, then it refers to the burdens and problems that you are hauling around. It is also symbolic of manual labor. If you see a passenger train, then it relates to mental work. If you see or play with a model train in your dream, then it indicates that you want more control and power over your own life and where it is headed. Dreaming of trains may also be a metaphor that you are "in training" for some event, job or goal
To dream that you miss a train denotes missed opportunities. It also suggests that you are ill-prepared for a new phase in your life. You may be procrastinating or putting things off that should have already been completed. To dream that you are the engineer signifies that you are in complete control of a particular situation in your waking life.
Railroad
To see a railroad in your dream indicates that you have laid out a set track toward achieving your goals. Your progress will be slow but steady. You are well disciplined and secure in your life. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you may be too linear and rigid in your thinking. Perhaps a situation or relationship in your waking life has become monotonous. Sometimes you need to go off track and explore other possibilities.

Being chased signifies avoidance:
To dream that you are being chased is an indication that you are avoiding some issues in your waking life. The actions in your dream exemplify how you respond to pressure and cope with fears, stress or various situations. Instead of confronting the situation, you have a tendency to run away and avoid issues that you are uncomfortable with addressing..

In understanding your own dream of being chased, ask yourself who is chasing you so that you can gain a better understanding . What are you running from? Turn around and confront your pursuer and ask them why they are chasing you.

Consider the distance or gap between you and your pursuer. This indicates your closeness to the issue. If the pursuer is gaining on you, then it suggests that the problem is not going to go away. The problem will surround you, until you confront and address it. However, if you are able to widen the gap between your pursuer, then you are able to successfully distance yourself from the problem. In essence, the problem is fading away.
